Welcome to the Creative Arts Therapy Committee.

The Creative Arts Therapy Committee of Brooklyn is a committee under the auspices of the Brooklyn Mental Health Council, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (“DOHMH”). The Brooklyn Mental Health Council is a member council of the Federation of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services.   • Educate the public about the function of Creative Arts Therapies.
  • Create space where consumers and providers work together in a nurturing environment and develop integrative, supportive, sustainable community for consumers to continue their personal and artistic growth.
  • Continue to promote creative arts therapies as healing arts in the community.
  • Continue to offer a venue for consumers and providers to exhibit and showcase Creative Arts Therapy modalities in a festival or gallery setting.
 

The Creative Arts Therapy Committee is currently seeking new members to join the group. We meet in Brooklyn Heights the first Tuesday of every month from 2:45 - 4:00 pm at 16 Court Street on the sixth floor, suite 601.
